The Umbrian tozzetti are a traditional dessert, very similar aesthetically and in terms of processing to the Tuscan cantuccio but different in consistency. They are dry cookies obtained by cutting the hot loaf of dough into slices, enhanced by the aroma and crunchiness of dried fruit. Simple cookies, not too sweet, made with hazelnuts, eggs, butter and sugar. Perfect for dipping, in milk but above all in sweet liqueur wines, but also for munching as a snack.
